A total of 145 administrative formalities in ministries and agencies have been connected to the National Single Window (NSW) mechanism from the beginning of the year to December 24, according to the latest information from the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
The number of new procedures connected to NSW has increased sharply to 98 this year, twice the figure recorded two years ago.
From November 12, 2014 to December 7, 2018, more than 1.7 million dossiers from 26,000 businesses were handled through this mechanism.
So far, several ministries and agencies have fulfilled plans regarding connectivity in 2018.Of which, the Ministry of Transport has the largest number of procedures, 87, and is the first ministry to be connected to the National Single Window as of December 1, 2018.
Meanwhile, the ASEAN Single Window mechanism was implemented from January 1, 2018 by connecting and exchanging electronic certificate of origin (C/O) between Vietnam and four other regional nations, including Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia.
Until December 5, Vietnam has received nearly 55,000 C/O from ASEAN member states and sent roughly 92,000 C/O to other nations.
